2009 Greetings

Hello FHS 71ers.
Hope this new year finds everyone well.

There are only 2 more years left till our next reunion and I hope to get some ideas from folks about how to make it memorable and meaningful.

Don't forget to contact me either by E-mail, Snail mail, phone or this blog. So far this blog has not been very successful but that may change. I will be sending out information this year on how to access for those who are not blog savey. Savey?

This year looks to be the start of a new era. A New Day - for good or bad??? we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully it will be for good for all of you. Last year we lost some parents and 2 classmates (see previous blog notes). Not to be morbid but hopefully we will all see 2010 and things with the economy will start to level out by then. It makes our old friendships and relationships worth holding on to and investing time enough to care. Our past is Past but it is connected to our Now and our tomorrows by way of historic imprints. I don't know about the rest of you but life is too important to hold on to negitive attitudes and judgments that sometimes linger from our younger years. This year I want to start off with a great THANKS to all of you who have counted me as your friend and Pleas Forgive me to all those I may have carelessley spoken to in ways that planted any offense.

Life is too short and too Precious to let time and relationships slip away.

Hope you all have a very HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Hope to hear from you all soon.

Your Friend
Carolyn

Dear Bill,
Thanks so much for your support to read and REPLY to the class blog.
Sorry I got preoccupied this past year with school work and haven't maintained it as well. So much for the perseverance? Hopefully I'll be able to able to maintain things better after September.

Hopefully, next fall some of you in the KC area might be able to get together for a mini-class gathering. What do you think? Ideas? You and I have discussed this idea before but the time hopefully will come later in October (hopefully)to finally meet some folks together for ideas.

Talk to you soon,
Carolyn

Carolyn,
As a potential venue for a quasi get together
I help set up Theis Park in KC for the annual PKD walk.
This year it is 12 September. I'll be there starting at 0600 until around 1400 or so.
We could get together afterwords. Lots of great restaurants and picnic areas down there.
